Digital Accessibility
So much of the material that we access in a University is digital. It is so important that the materials, resources and information that we access digitally is fully accessible to everyone – that is enabling and not disabling to our users. We aim to make as much as possible fully accessible. This mini-site is all about our approach to digital accessibility and how you can find more information about what we do and also how you can play your part in creating our accessible digital estate.
Digital Accessibility is a legal as well as a moral requirement. Under the Equality Act (2010), and PSBAR (2018), we are required to make our digital content as accessible as possible. Every employee at the University has a responsibility to support the requirement to make content accessible in everything that they produce from communications to students to Reading lists, teaching materials to digital signage.
